Well with 44 miles to go and maybe one last funnel cake we are about
finish the last leg of our journey. It has been an athletic endevor
that can't be topped (unless we do it again next year)! Many new
friends have been.
Some very strange people were spotted. But then again with almost
20,000 - what do you expect. Tomorrow comes early and the rack is
calling...... So rider up and coming out of the closet.
Good light M-MM-and J

After almost 400 miles in the saddle, we wind down and finish the 2009
RAGBRAI tomorrow with a short ride of 42 miles and dip in the
Mississippi River.
Quite an experience out on the road. People of every shape and size
and from all walks of life, on bikes that ranged from Tour de France
capable to ones that were taken out of the garage after twenty years
for the ride.
Seeing the outrageous bike costumes provided many laughs (Banana man
and his chiquitas, Captain America, Batman and Robin, Elvis, Herb
Tarlick from WKRP in Cincy, Sailbike Man, etc) plus other strange
sights like the woman who RAN the course and the roller bladed.
Many laughs and hills, plus lots of food at each stop with music along
the way that helped make the next stop or town.
